2006 John Manners Banquet:

February 18, 2006 marked our 56th annual John Manners Banquet. Food and fellowship was enjoyed by all attending.  Our guest speaker was Brad Sloup, an investigator with the State Fire Marshall’s Office. The entire group got a demonstration of his dog’s ability to sniff out accelerants. Anniversary awards were given to the following: Tim Bohaty, Tim Gatewood, and David Privett; 5 years; Chief Corey Wagner 15 years; Mike Svoboda, John Virgl, and Ron Voboril 25 years. The President of the Lions Cub, Ed Rastovski, handed out plaques to the Volunteers who attended the most calls. They were: Josh Trutna 124 calls; Jim Nelson 150 calls; Michelle Libal 156 calls; Don Jonas 165 calls; Ron Voboril 210 calls. The most anticipated award given out each year is the Eager Beaver Award and this years lucky recipients were Steve Lowther and Jim Nelson.
