WVFD's 125 Year Celebration
The Wahoo Volunteer Fire and Rescue department hosted an Open House on Sunday, October 12, 2003 to celebrate 125 years of service. Those that attended enjoyed refreshments and tours of the fire station. Volunteer members were on hand to answer questions and explain equipment. There were many activities throughout the afternoon including vehicle extrication, fire demonstrations, and proper fire extinguisher techniques. Fire prevention information was also available. On display were various types of gear that has been worn through the ages and hundreds of photos that spanned our local history.
